Support Worker

We are seeking a support worker to join an existing care team to facilitate the independence and safety of our client, a 75-year-old male living in his own home in Milford Haven.

He suffered a brain injury 11 years ago resulting in physical and cognitive disabilities and requires 24/7 care.

Our client requires support to safely manage his day to day needs at home and in the community. The work is varied and involves assisting the client to access the local community and its amenities.

The client keeps a bird as a pet, so applicants should be comfortable around animals.

Previous experience in the care field is desirable. Full driving licence and own car desirable.

The role will include days and waking night shifts at the client’s home to support his safety and wellbeing at all times.

Our client seeks someone who is well organised and flexible.

Competitive rates of pay.

Working hours: 24 hours per week, covering a 24/7 rota.

The successful candidate must be registered with OR working towards registration with Social Care Wales.

You must hold a recognised Health and Social Care qualification (NVQ Level 2 or a Diploma) OR have completed the All Wales Induction Framework, or be willing to complete this within 6 months of starting if successful.

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult and Child Workforce Barring.  Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
