Support Worker

We are seeking two support workers to work with a lady in her 30s who has Cerebral Palsy, living in the Bristol area.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual who will be motivated to support our client with new opportunities out in the community. An animal lover would be a great fit as our client volunteers with the Zoo Project each week and the role would involve supporting with this, as well as other social activities.

The role also involves some domestic support whilst maintain our client’s independence at home, with domestic tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning and helping her to look after her two dogs.

Working hours: 18 hours per week. Ideally we would be able to offer 10:00am-16:00pm shifts on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week, however there is some flexibility for weekends or different days for the right candidate.    

This is a potential job share opportunity, we are able to offer flexibility for either 2 workers to split the 18 hours weekly, or one worker to fulfil all the hours with the other as a bank worker to cover any over time, sickness/annual leave.

Competitive rates of pay.

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise, the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult and Child Workforce Barring.  Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
