Carer/Support Worker required for a 7-year-old boy in Monmouthshire who has a complex clinical presentation.

He is a very energetic and active young boy who loves looking after his chickens and dog. He loves his trampoline, bike and swimming amongst other activities, particularly sensory activities.

The position will require working with the treating therapists and following therapy programmes at home and at school to promote physical and cognitive development.

There will be some clinical procedures managing stoma and PEG feeds. All training will be provided to ensure competencies.

This will be a very rewarding role for the right applicant. Applicants will need to be energetic, happy to be inside and outside trying lots of different things. You will work as part of a team on a 2:1 basis. The role will cover both day and night shifts.

Some weekends will be spent in West Wales and the ability to accompany on holiday is beneficial to the role.

All necessary training will be provided.

Working hours: 36 hours per week over 3 12-hour shifts.    

Our client seeks someone who is well organised and flexible. Previous experience within care is essential.

Excellent rates of pay.

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise, the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult and Child Workforce Barring.  Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
