Energetic and enthusiastic sports loving Buddy/Support Worker required for a fun and happy seventeen year-old male who has Cerebral Palsy.

The Buddy/Support Worker will be required to work with our client in a supportive role within the family home. Our client lives close to Wolverhampton.

Our Client loves all sports, attending football matches, watching sport and computer games. We seek an active buddy/support worker interested in supporting him with his interests which also include bowling and hydrotherapy.

He has support at home from his parents and a busy vibrant family life with his siblings.

and he attends church and youth group weekly.

The role includes moving and handling, personal care and feeding and requires 2-1 support.

We are seeking bubbly, enthusiastic and very energetic buddies who are flexible, patient and dynamic. Ideally you will have experience of working with young people with disabilities, however we are happy to consider applicants who are new to care work.

You will be working closely with private treating therapists and supporting the client with his OT, Physio and SALT programmes.

We are seeking part-time buddy/support workers to cover every other Saturday, 08:00am-22:00pm. We also require cover for Monday shifts which are 16:00pm-22:00pm. If either or both of these shift patterns would work for you please do get in touch.

Additional hours will be available to cover annual leave and sickness. You need to be able to attend therapy training, team training and team meetings which you will receive notice for in advance.

Excellent rates of pay.

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.

All posts are subject to Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult and Child Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided.
