Brain Injury Support Worker

We are seeking up to 3 experienced Brain Injury Support Workers to support our client, a 35-year-old lady who lives in Shirley, Solihull with her 4-year-old daughter.

Our client requires formal support to assist her in her role as a parent, engage in meaningful community activities, and assist with activities of daily living such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.

The successful candidate will follow and implement the client’s rehabilitation programme as part of the package of support which currently involves neuropsychology.

Our client seeks someone who is well organised, flexible, reliable and demonstrates excellent communication skills. The support worker will be a core member of a support team and will be expected to attend monthly team meetings and liaise closely with the case manager and MDT.

Full training and regular supervision is provided. This position would ideally suit an individual with a background in psychology and/or have experience working with brain injuries and children due to the complex nature of the client’s needs.

Working hours: 2x 15 hour contracted positions available. We are also open to considering Bank arrangements.    

Shift pattern:

Monday: 7am – 3pm, 3pm – 7pm

Tuesday: 7am – 10am, 3pm – 7pm

Wednesday: 7am – 3pm, 3pm – 7pm

Thursday: 7am – 10am, 3pm – 7pm

Friday: 7am – 10am, 3pm – 7pm

Saturday: 9am – 3pm, 12pm – 7pm

Sunday: 9am – 12pm, 3pm – 7pm

Competitive rates of pay.

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise, the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult and Child Workforce Barring.  Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
