As we wrap up 2023 at CCMS, we would like to reflect on one of the many highs of the year, our Annual trip to Lanzarote.

This year, with huge thanks to Ian and Andy from The Wave Project, we had the privilege of assisting our wonderful clients James and Lucy on a holiday that went beyond the ordinary.

At CCMS, we believe that Life is for Living, no matter what your abilities, and this was reflected in Lanzarote as despite facing difficulties from their respective Brain Injuries, James and Lucy were both able to hit the surf on multiple occasions throughout the week, and it was remarkable to watch their progress on the boards as the holiday went on.

Aside from catching waves, James, Lucy and their fantastic support teams were able to enjoy the best of what the island has to offer. Lanzarote, with its stunning landscapes and serene atmosphere, provided the perfect backdrop for a therapeutic getaway.

The volcanic landscapes and sprawling beaches set the stage for an experience that would prove to be both rejuvenating and empowering for our clients. From accessible accommodations to carefully planned activities, every detail was considered to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience. Beyond the picturesque scenery, it was the connections forged during the trip that truly made it special. The camaraderie fostered over shared stories and laughter at dinner each evening illustrated our holistic and inclusive approach to rehabilitation.

The trip was a testament to what can be achieved when empathy, expertise and a genuine passion for life come together. As we look ahead to the new year, we are excited to continue to create opportunities that break barriers and inspire our clients to live their lives to the fullest.
