*Female Personal Assistant

Our client is non-verbal.  You will work with her in a communication and support role, enabling her to lead as fulfilling a life as possible, maximising her physical and psychological well-being and safety at all times. 

 

You will give help and assistance with activities of daily living and act as a communication partner at school, at home and when accompanying her to social and leisure activities.

 

You will organise her diary and appointments and receive training in how to use AAC (alternative and augmentative communication). This is the key element of the role and you will act as a conduit between her home and family and her school.

 

The ideal candidate will have a background involving care and/or teaching. Alternatively, you may be a recent graduate in a healthcare or teaching field.

 

Working hours: Full time, variable (part-time and job share also considered)    

 

Our client seeks someone who is well organised and flexible.

 

Excellent rates of pay.

 

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise, the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.

 

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Child Workforce Barring.  Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
