Support Worker

Our client is a vulnerable adult who requires support with cognitive tasks, emotional and behavioural aspects, relationships and enabling them to complete personal care and domestic tasks, in order for her to be able to lead her life as close as possible to how she would have prior to her injury.


The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the client, promoting and enabling her to develop her independence and wellbeing. You will take an active role in her rehabilitation under the supervision of the team leader and the case consultancy team. 


You will work with the client’s team to ensure a unified approach is maintained in order to positively engage the client in all aspects of her life. You will need to have a resilient and robust personality with a positive attitude and outlook on life. The successful candidate will be empathetic, understanding and non-judgemental.


Good IT skills and the ability and desire to learn and follow training and assessment are also required.


Working hours: 36 hours per week


You will be required to work 12-hour shifts (09:00am – 21:00pm & 21:00pm – 09:00am, which is a sleeping night shift). Contracted hours will be negotiable and variable, covering a range of shifts. Overtime may be available, and flexibility and good organisational skills are essential.



An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise, the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.


All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult Workforce Barring.  Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
