*Female Paediatric Support Worker

We are seeking bubbly, enthusiastic, energetic and dynamic team members to work with our client in a supportive role within the family home.


Our client is a delightful 10-year-old girl who has behavioural difficulties and challenges with developing her social skills.  She is physically very active and full of fun. You will need to be energetic.


The successful applicant will also be responsible for developing and implementing an activity timetable in collaboration with our client’s parents, to include after school activities, trips out and outdoor activities.


You will work with her neuropsychologist, occupational therapist and speech and language therapist to assist and support with her therapy programmes.


Full client specific training will be provided to enable you to support our client. 


High standards of documentation will be expected, and IT skills are essential.


The role includes lights domestic duties and supporting her mother in/out the home.


This post can be shared by two support workers and initial hours are as follows, however the hours are likely to increase.


2.30pm to 7.00pm – Monday

2.30pm to 7.00pm - Tuesday

12 noon to 7.00pm – Wednesday

8.00am to 10.00am – alternate Thursday

2.30pm to 7.00pm – alternate Thursday

12 noon to 6.00pm – alternate Saturday


School holiday hours: 11.00am to 7.00pm, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and alternate Saturdays.


Additional hours over the weekend and school holidays, plus babysitting may be required in negotiation with the client’s family. Additional hours may be available once the child has adapted to support in place.


Applicants who have volunteer experience with children would also be considered, along with therapy students.  Excellent communication skills are essential.


A full, clean UK Driving Licence is essential.


An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable.  Alternatively, the applicant must undertake the Care Certificate training.


Our client seeks someone who is well organised and very flexible.



All posts are subject to Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Child Workforce Barring.  Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential along with your own vehicle.
