Support Worker/Buddy

This is an exciting opportunity for somebody outgoing, who ideally has previous experience working with young people. A love of the outdoors and sports is an advantage, as this role will be assisting a delightful 17-year-old to access the gym, swimming and trampolining lessons.

 

Our client has autism and is a very friendly young man who wishes to employ a buddy to help him with his independence.

 

Working patterns can be flexible to fit the requirements of the right candidate, but currently there are hours in the evenings, weekends and school holidays available.

 

Excellent rate of pay and travel enhancement available for travelling to and from work.

 

Closing date for applications is 30th May 2022, but we may close applications early if there are a large number of candidates for this role.

 

Working hours: 10am-6pm Weekend hours, 4:30pm-6:30pm Weekday evenings.

 

Our client seeks someone who is well organised and flexible.

 

 

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise, the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.

 

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult/Child (delete where appropriate) Workforce Barring.  Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
