Brain Injury Rehabilitation Support Worker


Brain Injury Rehabilitation Support Workers required for a gentleman who has sustained a traumatic brain injury and who lives in the TN20, East Sussex area.


This is an exciting opportunity to work with our client. He lives with his wife and daughter in the family home and receives 24-hour support to enable him to live the life he wishes. He receives 2:1 support during the day and sleeping nights.


The support workers are expected to implement the client’s rehabilitation programme as part of the package of support, alongside the delivery of personal care, engagement in leisure activities and household tasks pertaining to the client. This will involve supporting the client to attend the gym, swimming, community activities and by negotiation accompany him on holiday.


The successful applicant will be a core member of the support team liaising closely with the Team Leader, client’s family, treating therapists and the Case Manager to optimise his quality of life.


Applicants must have experience of working with brain injured clients along with experience of working within a team.


Our client seeks someone who is well organised, flexible, has excellent written and verbal communication skills and who can use IT.


Working hours: Negotiable, full time, part-time and bank hours are available. Shifts will predominantly be between the hours of 8am and 8pm however there may be a requirement to work a sleeping night shift. Additional hours are often available to cover annual leave and sickness.

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise, the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.


All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult Workforce Barring.  A full driving licence is essential. Covid-19 vaccination is essential due to the vulnerability of our client.
