*Female Team Leader

Our client is a vulnerable lady who requires support with cognitive tasks, emotional and behavioural aspects, relationships and enabling her to complete personal care and domestic tasks, in order that she can lead her life as close as possible to how she would have prior to her injury.

The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the client, promoting and enabling her to develop her independence and wellbeing.  You will take an active role in her rehabilitation under the supervision of the case consultant.

You will work with the client’s team to ensure a unified approach is maintained in order to positively engage the client in all aspects of her life.  You will need to have a resilient and robust personality with a positive attitude and outlook on life.  You will need to be empathetic, understanding and non-judgemental.

As Team Leader, you will be responsible for close input with the client regarding day-to-day decisions and support.  You will be responsible for management and oversight of administration tasks on the ground including daily tasks, rotas, timesheet processing, etc.  You will be responsible for the supervision of the support team on a day-to-day basis.  You will work closely with the case consultant in the formation and implementation of a client centred strategy to enable her to achieve her goals.  Full training and handover will be provided.

Applicants must have previous experience in working with clients with additional needs, especially relating to the key goals of the role as outlined above.

Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, this will encompass 12 hour shifts between the hours of 09.00am and 21.00pm and 21.00pm and 09.00am, this will be a sleeping night.  You will also be required to complete administration and supervisory tasks in line with the Team Leader role.  As the Team Leader you are required to be available if there is no other cover available, as the last port of call in ensuring that there is cover in place to care for the client.  This required level of flexibility is reflected in the enhanced pay rates.

Our client seeks someone who is well organised, flexible, responsible, trustworthy and very reliable in addition to being caring, sensitive and patient.

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult Workforce Barring.  Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
