Part-Time *Female Support Worker

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced support worker with a strong and robust personality who has experience and knowledge of brain injuries and personality disorders (BPD/EUPD).  You should be capable at holding and maintaining boundaries, being able to work under pressure whilst remaining calm and focused.  The role requires a positive attitude and outlook on life.

In addition, you will need to be empathetic, understanding and non-judgemental and good communication skills are essential.  You will be creative, motivated, enthusiastic and energetic, with patience and compassion to work with our client on a one-to one basis within her own home.

The role involves facilitating activities of daily living, including help with socialising, exercise and independent living skills along with planning structure and routine within each day.

Candidates would be expected to have the initiative to work unsupervised while taking direction from the Team Leader and management team.  Experience of working with clients who are neurologically compromised and/or with personality disorders would be advantageous.

This is a challenging but extremely rewarding role.

Working hours: 24 hours per week to include weekdays, weekends, sleep-in nights and bank holidays.

Our client seeks someone who is well organised and flexible.

Rates of pay: £12.00 per hour Monday to Friday, £14.00 per hour Saturday and Sunday and £24.00 per hour on Bank Holidays.  Sleep-in shifts will be paid at a rate of £96.00 per shift Monday to Friday and £112.00 per shift Saturday and Sunday.

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult Workforce Barring.  Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
