Part-Time Personal Assistant/Support Worker
The successful applicant will work with our client in a communication and support role, enabling her to lead as fulfilling a life as possible. You will give help and assistance with activities of daily living and act as a communication partner when accompanying her to social and leisure activities. You will sometimes accompany her on holiday.
Our client requires someone to join an existing support team and who has the flexibility to provide some hours during evenings, school holidays and at weekends. You will be willing and able to learn how to use alternative augmentative communication (AAC) and full training will be provided.
Experience of working in a healthcare support role and/or as a teaching assistant is essential.
Working hours: a minimum of 9 hours per week.
Our client seeks someone who is well organised and flexible.
An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.
All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Child Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
