Bank Support Worker
Energetic and motivated support workers are required to work with our client, a young boy with developmental delay following a birth injury.
The support worker is required to deliver his care, an integrated therapy programme and developmental play, to transport and be actively involved with the client’s recreational activities after school and on a weekend. He can display aspects of challenging behaviour and the successful candidates will be supported as to how to manage this.
He lives in a busy household with his mother and four siblings and family pets. He also benefits from a large extended family. The successful candidate must be willing and able to work within a busy family home and their pets.
Working hours: variable and as required by negotiation per week, working shifts available will include after school, weekend days, and holiday days. Sleeping night shifts may be required by arrangement.
Our client seeks someone who is well organised, flexible with their working hours and has good communication skills - verbal, written and IT.
An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise, the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.
All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Child Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
