ITU and ventilation experience is preferable, inclusive of experience with PEG, continence management and community care. The role will involve working alongside a healthcare assistant at all times to deliver all medical and personal care.
The role will involve close working with treating therapists and the implementation of a daily therapy programme. There will be the need to take clinical responsibility when on shift and observe and react to any changes or concerns. To be active within her daily regime and actively support within activities and accompany on holiday as required.
The successful candidates will have experience of supporting individuals with complex needs, including communication difficulties.
Working hours: 36 hours per week. Shifts will be on a rota system to include mornings, evenings, waking nights and weekends.
Applicants need to have current NMC registration, to be well organised, flexible and have a full, clean driving licence.
An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.
All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
