*Female Support Worker

Our client is a vulnerable adult who requires support with cognitive tasks, emotional and behavioural aspects, relationships and to enable her to complete personal care and domestic tasks, in order that she can lead her life as close as possible to how she would have prior to her brain injury.

The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the client, promoting and enabling her to develop her independence and wellbeing. You will take an active role in her rehabilitation under the supervision of the Team Leader and the case consultancy team. 

You will work with the client’s team to ensure a unified approach is maintained in order to positively engage the client in all aspects of her life. You will need to have a resilient and robust personality with a positive attitude and outlook on life. You will also need to be empathetic, understanding and non-judgemental.

Applicants must be confident, creative and independent in assisting and researching planned activities along with the desire to take part in these activities alongside our client.  You must also be proficient in the use of IT.

Working hours: 24 hours per week, which will encompass the following 12-hour shifts:

09.00am – 21.00pm

21.00pm – 09.00am (sleeping night)

Contracted hours can be negotiable and variable, covering a range of shifts.  Overtime may be available as and when required.

Our client seeks someone who is well organised, responsible, trustworthy, very reliable but also flexible.

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult Workforce Barring.  Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
