This includes delivering personal care, therapy programmes and promoting access to leisure opportunities. The advertised vacancies will reduce the numbers of support workers that need to travel with her.

This will predominantly be during school holidays but as the client progresses into adulthood the support may be required at other times of the year.

You will also be expected to use information technology such as email, intranet, electronic records etc. All training and support will be provided as necessary and you are expected to maintain your IT skills for you to carry out your duties.
Experience using Makaton and PEG feeding would be desirable, but not essential as training is given as well as on the job learning.
This is a bank position however the client expects to use their holiday home on a regular basis. The request for support will be made in advance and shift cover will be negotiated to suit all parties.
Applicants with experience of caring for children or adolescents with physical or learning disabilities, and an NVQ (or equivalent) in care would be preferred, although this is not essential as full training, supervision and support will be provided to someone who wishes to start a career in care.
All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Child Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential, and applicants must be prepared to drive the client’s vehicle.
