Part-Time *Female Support Worker
We are looking for an enthusiastic Paediatric support worker to provide dedicated quality, flexible support throughout the 24-hour day over 7 days a week.
Support is delivered to the client within her family home. She already has her own dedicated support team who deliver support and care to the highest standard. This includes delivering personal care, therapy programmes and promoting access to leisure opportunities. The advertised vacancies will further develop the team and enable our client to progress in the achievement of her goals.
We can offer you genuine competitive rates of pay, contracted hours, training, supervision and developmental opportunities. The rota is generated up to 6 weeks in advance thus allowing you the freedom to manage your personal time. Additional hours are available during school holidays and to cover team absence.
Applicants must be patient, warm, caring, reliable and trustworthy and be able to work as part of a team.
You will also be expected to use information technology such as email, intranet, electronic records etc. All training and support will be provided as necessary and you are expected to maintain your IT skills for you to carry out your duties.
Experience using Makaton and PEG feeding would be desirable, but not essential as training is given as well as on the job learning.
Contracted hours negotiable up to a maximum of 28 hours per week (minimum 10 hours per week), but must be flexible. No fixed days can be offered, but the rota is issued 6 weeks in advance.
Applicants with experience of caring for children or adolescents with physical or learning disabilities, and an NVQ (or equivalent) in care would be preferred, although this is not essential as full training, supervision and support will be provided to someone who wishes to start a career in care.
All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Child Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential, and applicants must be prepared to drive the client’s vehicle.
