Experienced Part-Time Support Worker

An enthusiastic and experienced support worker is required to join a small team providing 2 to 1 care.  The client has complex needs and is a full-time wheelchair user who suffered a road traffic accident resulting in a brain and spinal injuries.  He requires support with all aspects of his care.

The client is living with his father.  The successful applicant will need to be willing to learn how to meet the client’s needs and be able to deliver excellent standards of care.

Working hours: 8.30am to 6.30pm x 2 shifts a week.  Ideally the support worker would be able to cover occasional sleep in shifts 10.30pm to 7.30am and wake hours 7.30 to 8.30am.

There would also be additional hours to cover sickness and annual leave.

Our client seeks someone who is well organised, flexible and has had previous experience of working with clients with complex needs.

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult Workforce Barring.  Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
