Experienced *Female Team Leader

Our client lives at home with his parents and siblings and he requires 2 to 1 care.  He requires suction and oxygen therapy and is fed via a gastrostomy tube.

In addition to leading an established team of support workers, the Team Leader must have experience of SEN, working with children and young people with special needs/disabilities and be willing to work under the guidance of the parents and therapists.

The role will involve all aspects of his personal care, monitoring his oxygen levels, medication administration and PEG feeding, along with home ventilation.

You will be required to arrange monthly rotas, prepare timesheets, update care plans and risk assessments and supervise staff accordingly. You will also be required to undertake staff supervisions on a quarterly basis and annual appraisals.

Working hours: 36 hours per week.

Our client seeks someone who is well organised and flexible.

There will be a pay review after 6 months depending on experience. Shifts will include weekdays, weekends and waking night shifts.  A mobile phone will also be provided for communication with our client’s family and support team.

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult and Child Workforce Barring.  Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
