A great opportunity to be working alongside a teenage boy and his family, in their own home. Our client is looking for someone who is kind, caring, have experience of SEN, working with children and young people with special needs/ disabilities and be willing to work under the guidance of the parents and the team leader.
The role will involve all aspects of his personal care, monitoring his oxygen levels, medication administration and peg feeding and home ventilation. Appropriate training will be given.
Hours: 36 hours per week. Shifts will include weekday school shifts, night shifts and alternate weekend day shifts. Possible one waking night shift and alternate weekend day shifts. There may also be an opportunity for extra shifts to cover sickness and holidays.
Our client seeks someone who is well organised, flexible, be someone who fits in with a family environment and has had experience of working with children with special needs.
An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable but not essential. Full Mandatory/Core training will be provided.
All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Child Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
