Bank Support Worker

We are recruiting a personal assistant to work with a teenage boy. He is a wheelchair user and his speech is affected by his Cerebral Palsy. He needs a personal assistant who will take him on outings and do activities with him. This includes going to football matches and to concerts.

There are some personal care aspects to the job and his personal assistant will work on therapy programmes to help him to live as independently as possible. There may also be the possibility of accompanying him on holiday.

He needs to be escorted to and from school and he also needs to be supported during the school holidays and needs someone who is well organised, flexible, responsible, trustworthy, and reliable.

The bank support worker will be required to cover shifts as required, staff holidays and sickness. They should be flexible and willing to deal with the day to day needs of the family. A variety of shifts are available to include days, nights, and weekends.

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Child Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
