Experienced Part-time *Male Support Worker/ Buddy
We are seeking flexible part time male buddy support worker to cover a variety of shifts day hours, sleep ins and weekends for a 18year-old male. This is for term time and during the sixth form holidays.
This is an ideal opportunity to join an established friendly team.
The post is
- To assist the client with developing his independence and attending community activities.
- Assist him with personal care
- Support him with a therapy programme, hydrotherapy, occupational therapy and physiotherapy exercises.
- To prepare meals and undertake light household duties.
He would like you to share his interest in learning about cars, engineering, experiments, wrestling, history, reading and car shows. He loves to go out in his vehicle and once lockdown lifts enjoys exploring new places.
Due to Covid-19 to protect our vulnerable client we ask that this is your only job and that you will undertake provided weekly covid testing.
Working hours: 12 hours a week contract on Mondays or Wednesdays7am-10am, 2.30-7.30pm. However, cover is required for annual leave which is a minimum of 12 hours a month on bank.
Our client seeks someone who is well organised, flexible to work shifts including weekends and to ideally have care or educational experience with children or young people.
An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.
All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Child Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
