Experienced Part-time Support Worker

Enthusiastic and experienced support worker required to join a small team providing 2 to 1 care.  The client has complex needs and is a full-time wheelchair user who suffered a road traffic accident resulting in a brain and spinal injuries.  He requires support with all aspects of his care.

The client is living with his father. He has a small team of support workers. You will need to be willing to learn how to meet the client’s needs and be able to deliver excellent standards of care.

Working hours: Week 1 Monday 1.30pm-10.30pm & Sleep in 10.30pm -7.30am and wake hours 7.30-8.30am. Week 2 Tuesday 1.30pm-10.30pm & Sleep in 10.30pm -7.30am and wake hours 7.30-8.30am

Plus, additional hours to cover sickness and annual leave. A variety of shifts are available to include days, sleep ins and weekends.

Our client seeks someone who is well organised, flexible and has had previous experience of working with clients with complex needs.

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult Workforce Barring.  Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
