Experienced SEN Nanny/ Support Worker
We are looking for dynamic, passionate individuals to support an 11-year-old girl. who lives with her friendly family and dog near Heathfield, East Sussex.
Our client is a smiley, energetic girl who is very affectionate and loves her cuddles.
Our client likes to play with her younger brother, play hide and seek, putting items in acontainer and building Duplo towers.
She loves helping with household chores, such as tidying up and cleaning, she attends school full time.
We’re looking for someone who can have fun and enjoy playing with her.
Our client had a brain injury resulting in cerebral palsy, global development delay and epilepsy. She needs full adult support for all day to day activities and access the world around her.
She likes to be independent and will require support to be so. She will have access totailored therapy programmes in order to support all of her developmental skills and reach her full potential. This will be an exciting position for the SEN Nanny as she will have support of a full therapy team to work alongside and learn new skills.
As our client’s SEN Nanny, you will support with all aspects of her care plan, therapy programme, self-help skills and personal care duties.
She has transport to collect and drop her to school, but you will be required to help gether ready for school; including support with personal care, dressing, eating and drinking and getting into the taxi.
After school you will be required to meet the taxi and assist her into the house, supporting personal care; including showering, dressing, supporting mealtimes, following therapy programmes and playing with.
On a weekend she likes to listen to music, watch TV and play. Your role will be support this alongside personal care and mealtimes.
This role will be very rewarding, allowing you to be creative, imaginative, and be part of a team supporting her to progress her learning and development.
The SEN Nanny must be a confident driver with their own car.
Working hours: 24 Hours a week or 12 Hours a week
(Term time)- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 6.45am-8.45am and Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 3.15pm- 7.15pm and Saturday 4.00pm-8.00pm. There is also 12 Hours a week 7.00am-7.00pm on Sundays.
(Non-Term-time) Monday, Thursday, Sunday 7.00am-7.00pm. Tuesday 7.00am- 11.00am, Wednesday- 8.30am-7.00pm and Saturday 4.00pm-8.00pm.
Our client seeks someone who is well organised, flexible and have experience workingwith children with additional needs.
An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.
All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Child Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
