Waking Night Childrens Support Worker

We are also seeking assistance Monday to Friday 15.00pm-16.45pm to support the parents after school term times only.

We require a passionate enthusiastic support worker to work in the family home in partnership with dedicated parents and join our small team working to a rota. This is two to one night care and you would be joining a very friendly caring team.

Our client is a thirteen-year-old boy with complex care needs, he is peg fed, requires suction, has Epilepsy and he is wheelchair dependent. He is a delight and he loves interactions with his siblings, school and his care team.

He requires 24-hour care and support with all activities of daily living. This will involve assisting with the client’s therapy programme and working closely with the relevant professionals.

You must have a positive attitude, be able to respond to emergencies and demonstrate ability to work confidently as part of a team and be able to demonstrate a high level of organisational and administrative skills, along with being flexible.

In return, we offer full induction and training. All training is paid for.

Working hours: 22.25 hours per week, night shift hours are 22.00pm to 09.15am.

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training. We are able to train you if you do not have experience as long as you can demonstrate a willingness to learn and a caring disposition.

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Child Workforce Barring.  Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
