Female* Support Worker
In addition, our client also has epilepsy and is non-verbal and visually impaired. She is also PEG fed and is oxygen dependent at night and requires 24-hour care.
The successful applicant will be required to monitor and administer both medication and feeds and provide all aspects of personal care. You will follow therapy programmes.
Whilst experience in care work is an essential requirement for this post, full training will be given in the areas where the successful applicant may not have such skills. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced nurses and carers and also with treating therapists.
Working hours: 36-40 hours per week, to include days, nights, weekdays and weekends, on a rota basis.
Our client seeks someone who is well organised and flexible.
An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.
All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Child Workforce Barring. A full driving licence is essential.
