Experienced *Female Support Worker/PA Buddy
Our client is a 34-year-old lady who has cerebral palsy, she is wheelchair dependant and requires support with personal care, transfers, accessing the community, managing her emotional needs and other aspects of her daily life. The support worker will be enthusiastic and motivated to enable our client to undertake social and leisure activities. This will include support with a home exercise programme set up by the physiotherapist, accompanying our client out shopping, on social activities and outings, trips and holidays. The support worker will be enthusiastic and motivated to take spontaneous trips out.
Our client seeks someone who is well organised, flexible and a good communicator. She is looking for a competent, sociable, motivated and enthusiastic person to join the team to support her in her daily living and work towards further enhancing her independence. The support worker should have experience with cerebral palsy/mental health and have proven experience with complex moving and handling.
Working hours: Weekly live-in (1 week on, 1 week off).
There is also a Bank support worker position available to cover holiday and annual leave.
Our client seeks someone who is well organised, trustworthy, responsible and flexible.
An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.
All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential, and applicants must be happy to drive the clients adapted vehicle on motorways and long distance as and when required.
