Waking Night Support Worker
A great opportunity to be working alongside a teenage boy and his family, in their own home. Our client is looking for someone who is kind, caring, have experience of working with children and young people with special needs/ disabilities and be willing to work under the guidance of the parents and the team leader.
The role will involve all aspects of his personal care, monitoring his oxygen levels, medication administration and peg feeding. Home ventilation. Appropriate training will be given.
Hours: 24-36 hours per week, this will include nights and weekends (Week one- 2 days with 1-night shift, week two- 2-night shifts and 1-day shift). There may also be an opportunity for extra shifts to cover sickness and holidays.
Our client seeks someone who is well organised, flexible and to be someone who fits in with a family environment and has had experience of working with children with special needs.
An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.
All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Child Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
