Support Workers/Personal Assistants

We are looking for bright, energetic and motivated people who are proactive and dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care.  You will have a key role in facilitating the rehabilitation programme which is developed by the treating therapy team.

You should be quick and free thinking, enabling him to lead a life that is fulfilling and meaningful.  Maximising his physical and psychological well-being and promoting his independence and safety at all times.

We are looking for people who are invested in building and developing a strong therapeutic relationship, in which our client is empowered to have his voice and choices advocated.  Giving help and assistance with all activities of daily living, personal care and independent living. You should have good communication skills be competent at recording and reporting.

You should be a team player and be able to participate as part of a small team, with the confidence, drive and initiative to work one-to-one with the client.

Applicants must have previous experience and understanding of working with brain injury/cerebral palsy along with experience of using assistive technology.

Working hours: 36 hours per week, to consist of days, nights and weekends on a rota basis.

Our client seeks someone who is well organised and flexible.

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult Workforce Barring.  Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential and you will be required to drive the clients adapted vehicle.
