Experienced *Female Children's Support Worker
Our client is a delightful 8-year-old girl who sustained brain damage at birth and is suffering from developmental delay. She has behavioural difficulties and challenges with developing her social skills.
To work with our client in a supportive role within the family home providing support and assistance to her parents and sister
The support worker will also be responsible for collecting from school with mum.
Developing and implementing an activities timetable in collaboration with her parents.
To include home activities, after school clubs, board games, and outdoor activities.
To support with her therapy programmes and work alongside therapists. training will be provided to enable you to support our client.
Our client requires support from a support worker to provide assistance with her toileting needs and personal hygiene.
Therapy programmes will be put in place shortly and training will be provided to enable you to support our client.
Due to the nature of our client’s behaviour the support worker will often need to support our client’s family in implementing techniques and ensuring that she maintains a routine.
The client is very physically active, and you MUST be energetic and active for this position.
The support worker will be expected to attend all training that will be client specific. High standards of documentation will be expected, and IT skills are essential.
Working hours: 33.5 Hours per week. Hours Required during school holidays/No School attendance due to Coronavirus.
Monday to Friday- 8am to 10.30am
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday- 2.30 pm- 7.30pm
Friday- 2.30pm- 10pm
Alternate Sundays- 11am-4pm
3-6.30pm Three days need to be flexible. No support required on Thursdays.
12-6 pm Saturdays.
Occasional Sundays and babysitting may be required.
Hours will possibly increase.

Our client seeks someone who is well organised and flexible.
An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.
All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Child Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
