Support Worker/Sleep-in Carer
To do this rewarding job the right candidate will enjoy working with children, will preferably have experience working as a carer and have excellent communication skills. The job takes place in the family home, so the ability to work well in a busy family environment is essential.
We require someone 4.30pm -10.30pm on a Sunday and 9.30pm – 8.30am which is flexible as to which day, additional hours may be needed during school holidays and for holiday cover.
An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.
The client’s family are looking for someone who is experienced in working in a home environment but equally they will accept applications from suitably qualified teaching assistants/nursery assistants who may be looking for additional work to fit around their current work life.
All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Child Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided. A full driving license is essential.
