Catrin has successfully completed the Community Case Management Services Ltd Brain, Spinal and Catastrophic Injury Case Management Pathway and has a good understanding of the litigation process and now practices as a Lead Case Manager.

Catrin has worked with Community Case Management Services for nine years. She trained at The London Hospital Whitechapel and so she has a wide variety of experience working both in hospitals and in the community. Catrin is a full member of the Royal College of Nursing and an Advanced Registered Practitioner of the British Association of Brain Injury Case Managers (BABICM).

In 2010, Catrin undertook a brain injury management course at St. Andrews Healthcare & Northampton University. Catrin attends regular training events organised by CCMS and a number of conferences and seminars in order to keep abreast of the changes within both litigation and management of such injuries.


Catrin is experienced in managing the following:

  • Spinal injuries all levels (Paediatric and Adult).
  • Traumatic Brain injury (Paediatric and Adult) to include Walking Wounded / High-Level Physical Functional Difficulties /Cognitive difficulties /Psychological sequelae.
  • Vegetative state / Minimal Awareness.
  • Cerebral Palsy (Paediatric and Adult).
  • Respiratory diseases / Mesothelioma / COAD / Pulmonary Embolism /Carcinoma.
  • Tracheostomy / Ventilated clients. 
  • Learning disabilities (Paediatric and Adult).
  • Elderly Care and Management.
  • Orthopaedic Injuries (Paediatric and Adult).
  • Complex Compartmental Syndrome.
  • Amputees (Paediatric and Adult).
  • Cardiac Problems.
  • Terminal Illness.
  • Clients with Associated Drug and Alcohol dependency.
  • Paediatric Kerniterus.
  • Sodium Valporate Syndrome.
  • Blindness.

Catrin has experience in the acute surgical setting, cardiac wards and geriatric care. She spent several years working in a home for the severely disabled, following catastrophic brain injury. The patients ranged from those in a vegetative state to those whose rehabilitation would return them to their homes and families.

Catrin has worked as a rural community nurse with both adults and children with a range of disabilities and illness, and included spinal injuries, cerebral palsy clients, elderly care, terminal illness and post-operative clients all who require delivery of skilled nursing care in accordance with policies/procedures and individual care plans. Following the assessment and planning for care needs to be met, she then oversaw the implementation of the patients' care plans.

Catrin also has extensive experience in the many different problems that the brain injured patient and their families face, be they physical or psychological problems. She works in accordance with other professionals to help implement strategies that enable the clients to manage their difficulties and so minimize the impact of their injuries on their lives.

Catrin currently manages children with brain and spinal injuries and has experience of cerebral palsy, kernicterus, sodium valporate syndrome and traumatic brain injury following a road traffic accident. She also works with adults with brain injury and other complex physical needs including amputees, spinal injury and the blind.

Catrin particularly likes working with families and enjoys watching children grow and develop to reach their full potential. She has been involved with many families moving to more suitable accommodation and the professionals working in that process.

Catrin has a personal commitment to the regular attendance of relevant seminars and conferences which are held regularly by Community Case Management Services Ltd and others, to maintain and update her expertise. She undertakes regular review and appraisals with the Directors of Community Case Management Services Ltd.


Catrin is a mother of three grown-up sons; who are all very active and enjoy mountain biking, motorsports and all outdoor pursuits. She also enjoys photography and travel.

Catrin has always combined working with raising her family and is well aware of the stresses and challenges of family life. As such, she always relish working with families.
