Annabelle is a Registered Nurse and a qualified teacher with a career spanning over twenty-eight years in healthcare, including both NHS and private. Her experience includes managing wards, teams, clinics and remote clinical staff. Annabelle has worked in formal and informal leadership roles, and has directed healthcare services as a registered manager with the CQC.

Annabelle trained at The University Hospital of South Manchester and has a broad career history working both in hospitals, private healthcare and the community. She is a full member of the Royal College of Nursing and is a Registered Practitioner of the British Association of Brain Injury Case Managers (BABICM). Annabelle is a member of the Association of Respiratory Nurse Specialists in the UK and acts as a mentor within the group; she also holds membership of The British Thoracic Society and The Tissue Viability Society. Annabelle attends regular training events organised by CCMS Ltd as well as a number of conferences and seminars to keep abreast of the changes within both litigation and management of such injuries. In addition, Annabelle has recently completed her Civil Expert Certificate at Cardiff University Law School in conjunction with Bond Solon.

As a Senior Nurse, Annabelle has dealt with the full range of pressured and challenging clinical scenarios; handling both acute emergency situations and the equally difficult management of long-term conditions. Her clinical background and expertise includes developing programmes of care in the community with full operational accountability (recruitment, resource management, training and development, budget control and meeting Key Performance Indicator targets across multi-level objectives).

Annabelle has worked in Primary Care as a Lead Nurse and Manager delivering specialist clinics in the community for the management of long term and chronic respiratory conditions with full autonomous responsibility for the cohort (child and adult) including Asthma, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, Bronchiectasis and Cystic Fibrosis. Specialist care has included home assessments, oxygen management and referral to affiliated respiratory care programmes in both secondary and primary care including pulmonary rehabilitation and medicines optimisation.

Annabelle’s Primary Care experience also includes delivering specialist healthcare clinics including adult / child health, baby clinic, immunisation, cytology, travel medicine, cardiac health, renal health, triage and acute care for emergency minor injuries.

Annabelle spent several years working in Private Health Care and was employed as the National Clinical Services Manager (UK) for a leading global medical and industrial gases company. Her role included principal accountability for nursing and healthcare activity within the company with responsibility for leading, innovating, directing and supporting the development of nursing services and staff. Underpinning the development of new services with a clear governance structure was a key achievement with a strong focus on safeguarding, equality and diversity, and clinical risk management.

Annabelle is a qualified teacher (NMC registered) who has taught undergraduate Nurses in the South West of England. Her teaching remit is principally Anatomy, Physiology and Pathophysiology, and also Health Sociology and Psychology.

Annabelle’s experience in Secondary Care (hospitals) includes Respiratory Medicine, Acute Medicine and emergency admissions, Nephrology including haemodialysis, and covering Intensive Care for acute renal admissions.

Annabelle is committed to maintaining and improving her continued professional development and regularly undertakes appropriate training to ensure her skills and knowledge are current, and evidence based. She attends relevant seminars and conferences at Community Case Management Services Ltd (CCMS Ltd), and with affiliated professional societies. She undertakes regular review and appraisals with the Directors of CCMS Ltd and is supported by a strong network of mentors within her profession.


Annabelle lives in the beautiful Somerset countryside near Bath with her family and dogs. In her spare time, she is an adventurous cook and food lover, avid reader, current affairs and politics enthusiast, novice gardener and science-fiction fan.
